Agave Flower

This was new to me, as I have never seen an  Agave attenuata  (Fox tail agave) flower.

After a little search on Google I found out..

  1. can take up to 40 years before the flower
  2. Native to the plateau of the State of Jalisco in central Mexico
  3. The inflorescence is a dense raceme 2.5 to 3 meters (8 to 10 ft) high, with greenish-yellow flowers.
  4. Only flowers once then dies
  5. Flowers rich in Nectar
