    • Thank you Bonnie. yes I was doing bit of a search on it and did see that some produce a fruit. This one was a big mass of prickles on the entrance to a dog park. Surprised the council hasn’t removed it.

      • Prickly Pear fruit is usually found in the spring….develops a pod that turns a deep reddish color. The “paddles” are also edible! I would have to look up how to prepare. Popular in Mexican recipes!
