The Roxy Theatre , situated in the main street of Bingara,
A striking building, with a history as colourful as its painted exterior.
Built in 1936 by three Greeks, it operated as a cinema until 1958, after which it was closed and lay dormant and untouched for forty years.
As you can probably gather the Marilyn Munro statue situated in the side window of the theatre was my favourite .
Admittedly it was closed at the time and I’m sure there would have been a lot more awesome memorabilia inside.
